Food (4/5): Solid food for an all you can eat place. The meat is pretty good and so is the sushi. Quality isn't the highest as some of the meat was chewy but still pretty good. Service (3/5): Service was decent. They infrequently checked up on us and didn't really refill water or adjust our grate until we adked which got charcoal burned after a while. But the food did mostly come out fast except some of our sushi rolls which came out oddly very late. Ambiance (4/5) Nice ambiance with great Japanese decorations. The seating can be a bit cramped and they need to add another restroom.

Am I in Japan?? These guys have an ipad where you can order everything just like Japan. The quality of the bbq meat and sushi is so good. The only annoying thing is the number of times you have to click sashimi. 40 salmon sashimi is degenerate, but it's amazing. The service is quick. There's not a lot of dessert options here, but that just means you can order more meat. Were there any vegetables on the menu? I can't imagine bringing a vegetarian here. They do have grilled pineapple, which is so good.

This restaurant is AYCE, but I have been here prior to them turning into an AYCE. If you come on weekdays and during lunch, it will be cheaper than the weekend and dinner prices. I always come out of this place with my belly about to explode haha. I came with a group of 5 around 6:30 and the place was pretty quiet, probably because it was a random weekday. They have meats and sushi. Most recently, if we posted something on social media, we got a free lobster. They gave us 2 fresh lobster to grill and they were delicious. We ordered 3 rounds of meats and sushi, but one of the rounds never got to us so we had to reorder. Nothing better than an AYCE! If you want dessert, they have Matcha Maiko and Prince Tea House across the street which is really convenient!!

05/11/2024 I was in New York recently for my daughter's graduation from Columbia University Master of International Affairs. Went to Gyu Ichiro in Manhattan Chinatown. Made reservations at 7. Took the 7 train from Flushing to Times Square and the No. 1 subway to Chinatown. We were seated right away and ordered the $48.95 tier all you can eat. For starters seaweed salad was served we then got a ipad to order the meats. Meats came out quickly and we started grilling. They had different sushi rolls and Takoyaki. Something I always wanted to try it was crispy on the outside hot and delicious on the inside oh and all the different kinds of meat ribeye, filet mignon, sirloin and New York, brisket, shrimp, pork belly and alot more. Service was good and attentive.

I try to stay away from AYCE barbecue, but when a family member is paying there's no reason to refuse. Because of this, I am able to confirm that the quality of the meat is pretty good despite the spotty service. My family and I did not have to wait on a Thursday night and we were able to get seated immediately. Since we came with a bigger group and the restaurant didn't have tables big enough to seat all of us, the staff seated us at tables next to each other. After the glasses of water were provided, we didn't see the servers until we got our food. To order, there is an Ipad with all the food options and you can always add more after your initial order. The ambiance is rustic but trendy with the backdrop of a mural on the wall in the style of Confucian drawings of ladies having barbecue. I'm guessing the service mirrors what would have been typical in old times. They don't bother you in the middle of your meal in the fear that they'll get their heads cut off. We tried to use the service button on the ipad to call someone to change the grill, but we had to physically flag someone down because no one came. At least the bathrooms were clean during our visit. The meat was pretty good with the exception of the lamb(?) which was chewy and flavorless. All the premium beef options were tender and well seasoned even if you don't dip the meat in the sauce. The appetizers such as the kani salad and takoyaki were great additions to the meal and the sushi was also pretty good. We finished our meal with refreshing bowls of brown sugar jelly. While the service wasn't stellar, it didn't matter as much to us since we were occupied in our big group anyway. The meat quality is great for the price and we didn't have to wait for a table. Not a bad option if you want a quick meat fix.

I saw this place on my instagram and knew that I wanted to come here. I made a reservation online through google reservations and we got seated right away when we came here. They offer both Japanese BBQ and sushi. You order everything through the iPad. The service was actually really fast and good. The decor of the place was nice as well. The one downside I would say of this place is that they did not give us any thongs or butter for the meat so some of the meat did stick to the grill but it was not too bad. -All the marinated meats were good -There was one of the meat which was cubed - don't recommend that; was very tough and it kept getting stuck in my teeth -Kani Salad: Not bad; pretty fresh -Seafood pancake: Very delicious; very crispy -Iced Brown Sugar Jelly for dessert which was very refreshing and a good touch after eating all the salty dishes Overall - very great vibes and would recommend checking this place out if you want AYCE sushi and meat. I would recommend eating more of the meat over the sushi (nothing too special about the sushi).
